The court has ordered a businesswoman to demolish an illegally constructed garage in the center of Drohobych.

Entrepreneur Iryna Podkolzina constructed a garage on land owned by the municipality.
Суд обязал предпринимателя снести самовольно построенный гараж в центре Дрогобича.

The Drohobych District Court granted the prosecutors' lawsuit and revoked entrepreneur Iryna Podkolzina's right to private ownership of a garage measuring 23.6 m² located on Lesia Ukrainka Street in the center of Drohobych. The businesswoman is required to demolish the structure. The press service of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported on Thursday, January 30, that the entrepreneur had illegally constructed the garage on communal land and managed to register the ownership through a state registrar.

“However, the registration was conducted without all the necessary documents. In particular, there was no information confirming the acceptance of the property into operation, the assignment of an address, and information about the technical inventory of the object,”the prosecutor's office stated.

Law enforcement officials also opened a criminal case against the state registrar and are conducting a pre-trial investigation.

It is worth noting that the prosecutor's office does not name the entrepreneur, but a case regarding the illegally constructed garage can be found in the court register. According to the case materials, entrepreneur Iryna Podkolzina built the 23.6 m² garage on a 40 m² plot at 5/5 Lesia Ukrainka Street. The basis for registration was only a technical passport created in 2021. The Drohobych City Council did not grant permission for the construction.

According to the analytical portal YouControl, Iryna Podkolzina is the owner of a small private enterprise called "Salang." The company is registered in Drohobych and engages in the retail trade of fruits and vegetables.

Judge Ruslana Kurus ordered the entrepreneur to dismantle the unauthorized construction. The decision can be appealed within 30 days.
