A resident of Lviv region was sentenced for promoting Soviet symbols.

Natalia Rozsokhach was sentenced to one year of probation.

The Chervonohrad City Court issued a verdict against Natalia Rozsokhach, a resident of Lviv Oblast, who disseminated posts promoting Soviet symbols on social media. The court imposed a one-year probation period on her.

According to the case materials, Natalia Rozsokhach is originally from Velyki Mosty in Lviv Oblast. The investigation claims that in 2023, she systematically spread propaganda of a totalitarian regime on the banned social network "Odnoklassniki." In particular, she liked posts featuring symbols of the Soviet Union.

In court, Natalia Rozsokhach admitted her guilt and confirmed the circumstances of the case. Judge Nelya Otchak of the Chervonohrad District Court found her guilty under parts 1 and 2 of Article 436-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and imposed a total of 5 years of imprisonment without confiscation of property.

However, the court released her from serving the sentence and assigned a one-year probation period. Additionally, she is required to pay 15,000 UAH in court costs. This verdict can be appealed.
