On November 15, the international cheese competition World Cheese Awards 2024 officially concluded in the Portuguese city of Viseu. Eight out of 27 Ukrainian cheeses were awarded. Among them are cheeses from Lviv region, including the hard cheese "Goat Cheese with Truffle" from the dairy farm "Mukko" and the soft cheese with white mold "Hoverla" from the cheese factory "Pumpkin Paradise." This information is reported by the official representatives of the competition in Ukraine, Ardis Group and ProCheese.
For the third consecutive year, Ukrainian cheeses have gained recognition from international cheese experts. This year, there are eight awards.
“Eight awards is an excellent result in such a large-scale competition. For the third time, we prove that Ukrainian cheeses hold a worthy place in the global market. I thank each cheese maker for their courage and desire for development. Events like this provide a great impetus for improvement, scaling, and finding their consumer,” noted cheese expert ProCheese from Ardis Group and judge from Ukraine at the World Cheese Awards, Oksana Chernova.
The participation of Ukrainian cheeses in the competition took place with the support of Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian Quality FOOD Trade Program and the assistance of the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund, as well as Ardis Group.

soft cheese with white mold "Hoverla" — "Pumpkin Paradise," Lviv region;
semi-hard cheese "Fondy" — "WineTime," Kyiv region.

A total of 4,786 cheeses from 47 countries participated in the competition, and over three years of involvement in the project, Ukrainian cheeses have already received 34 awards.
