Trump's son blamed California's wildfires on aid to Ukraine.

Elon Musk has also joined in the accusations against Ukraine.
Сын Трампа обвинил помощь Украине в лесных пожарах в Калифорнии.

The son of the elected U.S. President Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., claimed that the catastrophic wildfires in California are linked to Ukraine, which received fire trucks from the state three years ago for assistance.

On social media platform X, Trump Jr. stated that the Los Angeles Fire Department donated "many of its supplies" to Ukraine, which is why they are currently unable to control the fires in their immediate area of responsibility.

As evidence for his "theory," he attached a media report from March 18, 2022, mentioning that firefighters from the state sent additional equipment to help Ukraine, which was suffering from Russian bombings at the start of the invasion.

"Oh, of course, the Los Angeles Fire Department donated many of its supplies to Ukraine," Trump Jr. wrote.

Elon Musk reposted this message, indicating that he shares this view.

"Hydrants were not filled. They cut $17 million from the fire budget. They sent supplies to Ukraine…," Musk stated.

On the other hand, Donald Trump himself blamed Joe Biden for the California wildfires.

"Let this serve as a symbol of the flagrant incompetence and mismanagement of the Biden duo and [California Governor] Newsom. January 20 should come as soon as possible," he wrote, referring to the day of his inauguration.

Background. Reports indicate that this year's wildfires may become the most expensive in California's history. The flames have destroyed over a thousand homes in a prestigious area where Hollywood celebrities reside. Actors Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Adam Brody, Jamie Lee Curtis, and others have already lost their homes.
