On Thursday, December 26, Ukrainian defenders struck a Russian army warehouse in the Oryol region of the Russian Federation. This warehouse housed the Shahed kamikaze drones that the enemy regularly uses to attack Ukraine. This information was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Saturday, December 28.
According to military sources, the enemy's warehouse was protected by a series of concrete structures. The premises for storing the drones were also used for servicing and repairing the Shahed kamikaze drones.
“This combat operation significantly reduced the enemy's capability to conduct air strikes with attack UAVs on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure,” the report stated.
The General Staff noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine possess detailed information about the targets of the enemy's Armed Forces, and the work to detect and hit targets on the aggressor's territory will continue.
It is worth mentioning that the Russian Telegram channel Astra wrote that on December 26, three Storm Shadow missiles hit a military facility in the Oryol region of the Russian Federation. As a result of the attack, allegedly two Russian servicemen were killed, and seven others were injured.
As reported by ZAXID.NET, on December 23, a warehouse containing components for Shahed-136 drones burned down in the Russian special economic zone "Alabuga" in Tatarstan. According to intelligence reports, 65 fuselages of attack drones were destroyed in the warehouse, along with engines, navigation systems, and thermal imaging cameras intended for the production of 400 Shahed-136 drones.
