Ukrainian defense forces have struck yet another Russian oil depot.

On the night of December 31, special operations forces, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Armed Forces' drone units and other components of the defense forces, launched an attack on the "Yartsevska" oil depot located in the Smolensk region of the Russian Federation.

Powerful explosions and a fire were recorded at the site, with significant smoke observed, according to the report.

According to available information, tanks containing petroleum products caught fire. It is known that the depot was used, among other things, to supply the Russian occupying army, the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified.

The defense forces emphasized that strikes on important enemy targets will continue until the Russian Federation ceases its armed aggression against Ukraine.

Background. Recall that on December 22, drones attacked an oil depot in the Oryol region, resulting in a fire. This was the second strike on an oil depot within a week. On the night of December 14, the defense forces struck this facility, which led to a massive fire.
