Sweden will allocate "significant funds" for the production of Ukrainian long-range missiles and drones.
This was stated by Sweden's Minister of Defense, Paul Jonsson, during a meeting with the Ukrainian Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, at the Karlberg Castle in Stockholm.
"Sweden will soon allocate significant funds so that Ukraine can establish serial production of its long-range missiles and drones," he wrote.
According to Jonsson, this will occur based on a "Danish model." Thus, the funds will be directed to the Ukrainian defense industry, enabling it to create more of its own weapon systems, which will enhance the industrial base in Ukraine and Europe.
The official also reminded that Sweden has not restricted Ukraine's use of the funds and weapons it has donated, including their use on Russian territory.
"Ukraine is clearly exercising its right to self-defense in accordance with international law. Supporting Ukraine is not an escalation," the minister noted.
