During the night, Russians launched an attack on Ukraine using two missiles and 61 drones.

In the night leading to Saturday, January 25, Ukrainian air defense shot down two guided air-to-surface missiles X-59/69 and 46 drones. Additionally, 15 imitation drones were location-lost, reported the Air Forces.

From 19:00 on January 24, Russia launched 63 air attack means against Ukraine, including:

• two guided aviation missiles X-59/69 from the airspace over the Black Sea;

• 61 Shahed kamikaze drones and imitation drones of various types from Russian regions including Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

To counter the air assault, air defense missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine were engaged.

“As of 09:30, it has been confirmed that two guided aviation missiles X-59/69 and 46 Shahed-type strike UAVs and other types of drones were shot down in Odesa, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, and Kirovohrad regions. Another 15 enemy imitation drones were location-lost (without negative consequences),” the agency reported.

According to the Air Forces, the downed enemy drones caused damage in Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Khmelnytskyi regions. Buildings of enterprises, institutions, multi-story and private houses, as well as vehicles were damaged. Currently, emergency services are addressing the aftermath of the attack, and the affected individuals are receiving assistance.

ZAXID.NET reported that as a result of the drone attack, balconies on the 5th to 9th floors of a residential building in the city of Vyshneve in Kyiv were destroyed. Rescuers freed five residents from apartments, two of whom were children. Six cars were damaged, and windows in a neighboring building were shattered.

Additionally, a fire broke out at a manufacturing facility in the Fastiv district. There were no injuries reported.

According to data from the head of the Khmelnytskyi OVA, Serhii Tiurin, air defense forces shot down four enemy drones over the region during the night. As a result of the attack, the premises of a workshop in one of the enterprises were damaged, and windows of a residential building were shattered.

During the night, the enemy attacked critical infrastructure in Cherkasy. Some subscribers, particularly from Cherkasy, remain without power. There are no casualties reported from the attack.

“This night, the shock wave specifically damaged residential infrastructure in the regional center: a multi-story building and several private houses. According to preliminary data, about fifty windows were shattered,” – reported the head of the Cherkasy OVA, Ihor Taburets.
