On the night of November 18, air defense forces in five regions eliminated 8 Russian drones out of 11. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

On the night of November 18, the Russians attacked Sumy region with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region and a guided air missile X-59 from the airspace of the Kursk region. Additionally, the Russian army targeted Ukraine with 11 Shahed drones and unmanned aerial vehicles of unspecified type.

Ukrainian defenders shot down 8 UAVs. Air defense forces operated in five regions:

Poltava,
Kharkiv,
Cherkasy,
Chernihiv,
Kiev.

The Air Force also noted that three more Russian drones were lost in specific locations.

It is worth mentioning that on November 17, Russian troops struck a residential area in Sumy with a ballistic missile. The enemy projectile hit a nine-story residential building. As of 8 AM on November 18, the death toll from the attack increased to 11, with another 55 residents sustaining injuries.

Reports also indicated that due to a massive combined Russian attack on the night of Sunday, November 17, several energy substations critical for powering Ukrainian nuclear power plants were damaged.
