In the early hours of Thursday, November 28, Russia launched a massive missile strike on Ukraine. In the Lviv region, the enemy hit energy infrastructure facilities. 523 thousand subscribers were left without power supply. This was reported by the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi.
Air raid alerts in Lviv region began at 5:21 AM on November 28 due to missile launches of the "Kalibr" type from the Black Sea. Additionally, Russia fired cruise missiles from seven Tu-95MS aircraft.
During the air raid alerts, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration informed twice that missiles were heading towards Stryi.
“The enemy attacked energy infrastructure facilities. Details to follow,” – reported Maksym Kozytskyi.
Following the order from "Ukrenergo," "Lvivoblenergo" implemented emergency power outages. Due to the morning shelling and the use of hourly power outage schedules, 523 thousand subscribers were left without electricity.
Previously, Russia had launched a massive attack on Lviv region with missiles and drones on the night of November 17. As a result of falling debris in Dobrotvir, a 66-year-old woman died, and two others were injured.
It should be noted that Russia regularly launches cruise missiles at Ukrainian territory from strategic bombers such as the Tu-95. The last time Russia attacked Ukraine with X-101 cruise missiles was on November 21. On the same day, an intercontinental missile was used for the first time over Dnipro.
