The Cabinet of Ministers has made grants for veterans more accessible to help them start their own businesses under the government program "eWork."
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported this information.
According to him, entrepreneurs who pay taxes equivalent to the grant amount within a specified period (three, five, or seven years) will have the option to receive an additional grant payment.
"Already, 1,100 veterans and their families have received over 500 million UAH in grant funds to start and develop their businesses," the head of the government noted.
In total, the state has issued over 22,000 micro-grants to citizens for starting their own businesses. He mentioned that this could potentially generate around 42,000 new jobs.
In addition, the Cabinet has improved the provision of psychological assistance to veterans.
It was noted that the composition of multidisciplinary medical teams was expanded at today's government meeting.
"We are also increasing the maximum amount of funds that the state reimburses to non-governmental institutions treating veterans," Shmyhal added.
Background. Previously, Mind reported that the government allocated an additional 400 million UAH for housing for veterans. The funds will be transferred to the recipients' accounts within the current month.
