«Рамштайн»: Канада выделит $305,7 млн на военную помощь Украине.

Canada will provide Ukraine with military assistance amounting to 440 million Canadian dollars ($305.7 million).

This information comes from a statement by the country's Minister of Defense, William Blair, following the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, which took place at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

The funds will be allocated for the procurement of ammunition and winter uniforms, as well as the production of military drones.

“Ammunition remains one of Ukraine's highest priorities, and today's package includes a $200 million contribution to the Czech initiative for the purchase of large-caliber ammunition for Ukraine. Canada's contribution complements over $53 million announced last year for the Czech initiative, which has already provided Ukraine with approximately 11,500 large-caliber munitions. An additional $50 million will also be allocated for the purchase of various calibers of ammunition from Canadian industry,” the statement reads.

Overall, since February 2022, Canada has directed over 4.5 billion Canadian dollars ($3.13 billion) in military aid to Ukraine. This includes multi-purpose drones, armored combat support vehicles, anti-tank weapons, small arms, M777 howitzers, and corresponding ammunition.

The Canadian Armed Forces have trained over 43,000 personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, more than 10,000 of whom have received training in various locations across Europe since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Canada has announced the extension of this mission until March 2026.

Background. Additionally, following the “Ramstein” meeting, it was revealed that Britain and NATO countries will deliver 30,000 FPV drones to Ukraine. The supplies will occur after contracts are finalized by the “Drone Coalition.”
