Five European countries are ready to assist Ukraine if the U.S. withdraws support, according to Sikorsky.

Conflict resolution scenarios and strategies to end Russian aggression must be developed in close collaboration with the Ukrainian government, emphasized the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Пять европейских стран готовы оказать помощь Украине в случае отказа США, заявил Сикорский.

The largest countries in Europe from an economic standpoint – Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom – are prepared to shoulder the military and financial burden associated with providing assistance to Ukraine in the event of a potential reduction in support from the United States.

This was stated by Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski on Tuesday, November 19, during a press conference following a meeting in Warsaw with foreign ministers, including Estonia's Kaja Kallas, who is set to succeed Josep Borrell as the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs.

 According to DW.

“I respectfully acknowledge the readiness of the largest countries in the European Union to take on the burden of military and financial support for Ukraine in light of a possible decrease in U.S. involvement,” Sikorski said.

The meeting of the foreign ministers of Germany, France, Italy, and Poland in Warsaw was timed to mark 1000 days since the onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The main topic was the future relationship between the European Union and the United States following Donald Trump's return to the White House. The foreign ministers of Spain and the UK participated in the discussions online.

According to Sikorski, Putin's Russia, with its imperial ambitions, is “not only one of the greatest security threats to Europe, but also one of the most serious threats to the global order.” He urged allies to resolutely counter this.

In a joint statement released after the meeting, the diplomats also addressed the hybrid threats emanating from Russia:

“moscow is intensifying its hybrid attacks against NATO and EU countries on an unprecedented scale and in various forms, posing significant security risks.”

Regarding the prospects for a peaceful resolution in Ukraine, the participants in the Warsaw meeting “were united in their view that imposing peace solutions on Ukraine that contradict its interests or are not accepted by society would adversely affect the stability of the country,” stated Radek Sikorski.

“Scenarios for resolving the conflict and ending Russian aggression must be developed in close cooperation with the Ukrainian authorities,” he noted.

Background. Recall that Sikorski previously stated that “the most important” negotiations regarding Ukraine would take place in Warsaw next week. The talks in Warsaw are crucial for shaping the EU's position on Ukraine, he emphasized.
