A drunken mechanic in Netishyn took a client's car for a joyride.

In Khmelnytskyi region, a drunk employee of a service station was caught driving a customer's car. The alcohol level in his blood was 12 times above the legal limit.

As reported by the police, the incident occurred on Friday, November 15. In the afternoon, on Rynkovaya Street, patrol officers noticed a Mitsubishi Pajero parked in violation of traffic regulations. The police approached the driver and asked to see his license. The 35-year-old man responded that he did not have the document and, in fact, the car did not belong to him but to a client who had left it for repairs at the service station.

While talking to the driver, the officers noticed signs of alcohol intoxication, and a test on the Drager device showed 2.33 promille of alcohol in his blood. This is nearly 12 times higher than the permissible limit.

The police issued two administrative protocols against the offender under Part 1 of Article 130 (driving a vehicle while intoxicated) and Part 2 of Article 126 (driving a vehicle by a person who does not have the right to drive such a vehicle) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
