Over 8 million Ukrainians have already received 1000 UAH as part of the "Winter Support" program.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting reporting.

"We now have more than 11 million applications for the 1000 UAH payment under the 'Winter eSupport' program. Over 8 million Ukrainians have already benefited from this support," the Prime Minister stated.

He added that in January of this year, additional payments for teachers will also commence. Each teacher will receive an extra 1000 UAH "in hand" monthly added to their salary, and starting in September, this amount will increase to 2000 UAH.

Shmyhal also reported that within the framework of "Winter Support," the government is implementing the "eBook" initiative. There are already more than 56,000 applications from those who turn 18 in 2024.

Additionally, this month, another program under "Winter Support" will start accepting applications for housing subsidies for internally displaced persons. As the Prime Minister noted, this will assist thousands of citizens during this challenging time.
