Former director and founder of the "Znesinnya" park, Oleksandr Zavadovych, has passed away.

In Lviv, the deputy director and former head of the Regional Landscape Park "Znesinnia," Oleksandr Zavadovych, has passed away. This was reported on December 31 by his wife, Zoryana Mazeppa.

Oleksandr Zavadovych died on December 30, and the cause of death has not been disclosed.

“Yesterday, at 12:00, the heart of Oles Zavadovych stopped beating – a husband, father, founder, and the first director of the ‘Znesinnia’ park. The family requests prayers. We will provide details later,” Zoryana Mazeppa reported.

Since 2012, Oleksandr Zavadovych had been serving as the deputy director for scientific work at "Znesinnia."

“A kind, sincere, cheerful, and hardworking person has left this world. May the good and bright memory of Oles Myronovych always remain in the hearts of his family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew, loved, and respected him,” the park's press service stated.

The territory of "Znesinnia" in Lviv was designated as a natural reserve fund of Ukraine in 1993. The park was established to preserve and restore the unique natural-historical complex of the Znesinnia ridge and the surrounding areas of ancient settlements – Znesinnia and Kryvchytsi. The total area of the park is 312.1 hectares. The first director of the park was Oles Zavadovych.
