«Поддержка Украины – в интересах всей Европы»: Нидерланды обещают выделить еще 6 млрд евро на помощь Киеву.

The Ambassador of the Netherlands to Ukraine, Alle Dorhaut, announced that his country has already provided assistance to Ukraine amounting to €3.8 billion and plans to offer an additional €6 billion.

“Over the past three years, the Netherlands has supported Ukraine in various ways – morally, with humanitarian aid, assistance in reconstruction, economically, and with military aid… Currently, €3.8 billion has been received, but there are plans for another €6 billion,” the ambassador stated.

In total, the Netherlands has already allocated over €10 billion in military aid, nearly €4 billion of which has already been delivered, he clarified.

Dorhaut emphasized that the Netherlands' support for Ukraine is “in the interest of Europe,” and by providing this assistance, the Netherlands is standing “in defense of its own security,” safeguarding its values.

“Therefore, your accession process to the European Union is very important. The Treaty on the European Union includes a specific provision on security. So, it’s not just about the single market. When the war ends, the EU will definitely have long-term relations with Ukraine, and I believe that the military assistance being provided by the EU and its member states to Ukraine will later shift towards economic support, reconstruction, and so on,” Dorhaut noted.

He also spoke about support for the Ukrainian energy sector. According to him, the country is constantly seeking new opportunities to help Ukraine withstand a challenging winter.

“For the Netherlands, energy is one of the priorities in assisting Ukraine. We have already done a lot to support your country, and we are continually looking for new opportunities. Our colleagues are in constant contact with the Ukrainian side to understand how else we can help Ukraine get through this winter,” the diplomat emphasized.
