The Pidhirtsi Special School in Lviv region is implementing innovative methods in corrective education.

At the Pidhirtsi Special School in Lviv region, a new system for the development, upbringing, and education of children with special educational needs has been tested. This institution has become a laboratory for the implementation of new content in corrective education and for understanding innovative processes, reports the regional department of education and science.

Children with special educational needs have the opportunity to undergo rehabilitation in the therapeutic physical training room and engage in activities in the gym. The school provides all necessary conditions for sports.

The primary focus for the school is to create a safe educational environment for children with special educational needs and provide psychological support. The special school defines its mission as: "to become a school of health, socialization of personality, and confidence in the future, helping children to discover, optimally develop, and fully realize their personal potential."

“The updated classrooms are equipped with multimedia equipment, comfortable sleeping areas, corridors, a modern assembly hall, a dining room, reliable shelters, a medical unit, a room with an interactive floor, a gym, and an excellent sports hall,” lists Lesya Vovschuk, the director of Pidhirtsi Special School.

High school students have the opportunity to take massage courses and obtain relevant certifications, as the school has a massage room.
