Rejected amendments by Yulia Tymoshenko to the 2025 state budget could have ended the misappropriation of Western aid, according to an expert.

Economic analyst Alexey Kusch shared this in his personal Telegram channel.

He emphasized that Yulia Tymoshenko was the first among politicians to candidly discuss the financial pyramid constructed by the National Bank, which allowed affiliated commercial banks to reap enormous profits at the expense of destroying Ukrainian businesses. Moreover, she "not only recognized how this 'nepotistic pyramid' of the NBU could be dismantled, but also proposed tangible steps to achieve this!".
The refinancing suggested by the leader of the "Fatherland" party could save around 140 billion UAH, of which at least 90 billion UAH could have been allocated to the military budget.

Therefore, by rejecting the resolution 12223 submitted by Yulia Tymoshenko, the Verkhovna Rada missed a unique opportunity to fund socially significant and critical areas for national security, believes Alexey Kusch.
