New border crossing rules: the "Green Card" will be valid starting the day after it is issued.

Starting January 1, 2025, modifications to the rules for issuing international insurance "Green Card" will come into effect.

This is reported by the State Border Guard Service.

From next year, the "Green Card" will be valid starting from the following day after it is issued. Therefore, it will not be possible to obtain the certificate and cross the border on the same day – you will have to wait until 00:00 the next day.

The relevant changes are enforced by the law on mandatory insurance for land vehicles. However, all policies issued before January 1 will remain valid until their expiration date.
