In just one day, the National Police uncovered over fifty schemes related to illegal border crossings.

Among the suspects are leaders of state institutions at various levels.

Investigators have announced 60 charges for the illegal transportation of conscripted men across the state border in 22 regions of the country. This was reported by the National Police on Saturday, January 11.

Among the schemes uncovered by the police:

transporting men outside of checkpoint areas,
forging health documents,
fake entries in the "Path" information system.

Those involved in the transportation of conscripted men included hospital managers of various levels, officials from the TCC, MSEC, and VLK, as well as civilians. They offered various schemes for crossing the border to conscripted individuals. Among these were VLK certificates declaring unfitness for military service and false documents granting permission to leave the country.

“One of the most popular offers was to cross the border outside of checkpoints – through the forest, by boat, or in a wetsuit along the river, in the trunk of a truck, or disguised in women's clothing,” the law enforcement officials report.

They sought clients through acquaintances and closed Telegram channels. Such services cost between $5,000 and $22,000. The money obtained was laundered through the purchase of cars and real estate, and in some cases, it was also transferred to offshore accounts.

During the searches, police seized:

lists of transported individuals for 2024,
forged documents and seals from various government agencies,
weapons,
black accounting records,
cash in various currencies.

Investigators have announced 60 charges for the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine. Those responsible face up to 9 years in prison with property confiscation and disqualification from holding certain positions.

“The first phase of the special operation is complete, and the pre-trial investigation is ongoing. The police are identifying others involved in organizing schemes for illegal border crossing during the war,” they added in the report.

Recall that in Lviv, the head of the reserve stock of the military medical commission of the Shevchenkivskyi district territorial recruitment and social support center (RTC and SP) 44-year-old Myroslav Sukmanovskyi was detained for bribery. The head of the VLK promised to issue a fake diagnosis of unfitness for service for a 43-year-old conscript for $2,000.
