Three men from Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Transcarpathia attempted to enter Hungary outside of designated checkpoints. A patrol intercepted the offenders 800 meters from the border. Upon noticing the soldiers, the men tried to flee. In pursuit, the border guards fired several warning shots. All three were apprehended.

On the evening of Friday, January 3, border guards from the "Luzhanka" department of the Mukachevo squad apprehended three draft evaders attempting to illegally enter Hungary. This was reported by the Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service.

The three men from Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Transcarpathia attempted to cross into Hungary outside of the checkpoints. The patrol discovered the offenders 800 meters from the border.
