A drone targeted the enemy vehicles on the Donetsk – Horlivka highway.

On Saturday, January 4, in the occupied Donetsk region, Alexander Martemyanov, a freelance correspondent for the Russian propaganda outlet "Izvestia," was killed in a drone strike. Additionally, five other Russian media personnel were injured. This was reported by Russian media and the Telegram channel Astra on Saturday, January 4.

According to TASS, Russian propagandists were allegedly delivering humanitarian aid to a church when their vehicle was struck by a drone near Horlivka.

The agency "Izvestia" stated that their freelance correspondent Alexander Martemyanov died from a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a civilian vehicle on the Donetsk – Horlivka highway in the occupied territory of Donetsk.

Injuries from the drone attack were sustained by "RIA Novosti" correspondents Maxim Romanenko and Mikhail Kevkhiev, as well as employees of the publication "Bloknot." The editorial office of "RIA Novosti" reported that its journalists are in satisfactory condition and were taken to one of the hospitals in Donetsk.

The agency also released a video from the scene of the drone strike on the vehicle carrying journalists from Russian propaganda media.

As reported by ZAXID.NET, on January 3 in the city of Shuya, Ivanovo Oblast, Russia, 29-year-old Captain Konstantin Nagayko was blown up. The military is linked to the killings of 59 civilians in the village of Groza in October 2023.
