In Lviv region, the number of areas where police will measure speed using TruCAM has increased.

Starting December 21, patrol officers will measure speed using TruCAM at 51 new locations across Ukraine. This was reported by the patrol police. In Lviv region, an additional ten locations have been added to the list.

Overall, 51 new locations have been added across Ukraine, and 12 locations have been modified. In total, TruCAM monitors speed at 346 road sections.

• M-09 Lviv — Rava-Ruska (to Lublin) — two new sections (one between 44 and 81 km, the other between 97 and 115 km);
• N-13 Lviv — Sambir — Uzhhorod — between 10 and 35 km;
• R-15 Kovel — Volodymyr — Sheptytsky — Zhovkva; — between 113 and 127 km;
• R-84 Bibrka — Kamianka-Buzka — Zhovkva — Horodok — Mykolaiv — Zhydachiv — Kalush — Burshtyn — between 203 and 206 km;
• T-14-02 Skhidnytsia — Pisochna — between 29 and 50 km;
• T-14-04 Sheptytsky — Rava-Ruska — between 1 and 8 km;
• T-14-10 Brody — Sheptytsky — between 55 and 78 km;
• T-14-16 Lviv — Pustomyty — Medynychi — between 7 and 23 km;
• T-14-20 Yavoriv — Hrushev — between 1 and 15 km.

The patrol police reminded that TruCAM devices are used alongside automatic recording cameras for more effective speed control.

“The locations have been determined based on accident rates and in areas deemed hazardous, as well as places (sections) of concentration of traffic accidents caused by drivers violating established speed limits,” the patrol police noted.

Drivers were reminded that the use of speed measurement devices will be indicated by road signs warning of photo and video recording of violations, and in places where violations are recorded, there will be a service vehicle with activated blue flashing lights.
