At the Slovak border, customs officials seized a Renault containing 200 packs of cigarettes from a resident of Transcarpathia.

Cigarettes, along with a 2011 Renault, were valued at 250,000 UAH.

At the "Maly Berezny" border crossing, border guards from the Chop detachment discovered 225 cigarettes hidden in compartments of a Renault belonging to a 43-year-old woman from Transcarpathia. Customs officials seized the contraband along with the vehicle.

As reported by the Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service on November 14, the woman stated that she was traveling to Slovakia to meet her husband who resides there. During a thorough inspection, four compartments containing cigarettes were found in the Renault.

“The compartments were built into the floor and under the front arches. To access them, it was necessary to cut through the car's bottom. As a result of the inspection, the border patrol retrieved 225 packs of cigarettes from the hiding places”, the State Border Guard Service informs.

The cigarettes, along with the 2011 Renault, were valued at 250,000 UAH and were confiscated.
