In Khmelnytskyi, a driver in a VAZ vehicle fatally struck a 58-year-old cyclist.

On Monday, November 11, around 18:50, a traffic accident occurred near the village of Peremyshl in the Shepetivka district, resulting in the death of a 58-year-old cyclist. This was reported by the regional police press service.

According to the investigation, a 49-year-old resident of Slavuta, the driver of a VAZ 21093, ran over the 58-year-old cyclist. The latter succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the incident.

At the same time, the police have not specified the exact location of the victim at the moment of the collision.

Law enforcement has initiated a criminal proceeding under part 2 of article 286 (violation of traffic safety rules leading to the death of the victim) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanctions for this article provide for a prison term of three to eight years.
