In Khmelnytskyi region, a 56-year-old Fiat driver lost his life after colliding with a tree.

A fatal traffic accident occurred near the village of Revukha in the Shepetivka district. As a result of the collision with a tree, a 56-year-old driver of a Fiat Punto lost his life. This was reported by the police press service on February 3.

According to the investigation, the accident occurred on February 1 at approximately 09:45 on the Kremenets – Slavuta – Antoniny highway. Preliminary information indicates that the 56-year-old resident of the village of Topory, driving the Fiat Punto, lost control of the vehicle, veered into the ditch, and subsequently collided with a tree.

“The driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident,” law enforcement officials stated.

Investigators have opened a criminal case under part 2 of Article 286 (violation of traffic safety rules resulting in the death of the victim) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and are currently determining all circumstances of the incident.
