In Chernihiv region, near the border with Belarus, border guards together with police detained the organizer of an illegal scheme for smuggling conscripted men across the state border. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on November 26.
According to the investigation, the suspect was mapping routes that bypassed checkpoints and subsequently escorted men attempting to evade mobilization to the state border. The organizer also sold information about these routes via messaging apps, including Telegram.
The offender was apprehended while attempting to illegally smuggle a conscripted man across the border. During searches of the organizer's premises, money, phones, and other evidence of illegal activities were seized.
The detained individual was charged under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal transportation of people across the state border). He faces imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years.
