The Lviv City Council has updated the list of valuable mosaics and ceramic panels.

The list has been expanded to include an additional 13 items.

The Department of Historical Heritage Protection in Lviv has updated the list of valuable mosaics located within the community. The list now includes 13 new items, which consist not only of mosaics but also of ceramic works. At the same time, during the inventory process, the working group removed certain items from the list. This updated list has been approved by the Executive Committee of the Lviv City Council.

The newly added mosaic and ceramic works are located at the following addresses:

  • Lyceum "Intellect," Zaporizka, 20,
  • Buildings of the transport enterprise (Navrotsky, 25),
  • Bus stop in Vynnyky (Lviv-Vynnyky road),
  • Vocational School No. 29 (Shevchenka, 116),
  • Media Library "Multiplex" (Library No. 19), Symonenka, 10,
  • Pharmacy "Under Hygieia" (Odeska, 2),
  • Preschool Educational Institution No. 105 (Pasichna, 15),
  • Training and Production Pharmacy of the Lviv Medical University (Pekarska, 75),
  • Palace of Aesthetic Education for Student Youth (Petrushevicha, 2),
  • Preschool Educational Institution No. 88 (Rufa, 37a),
  • Powder Tower (Pidalna, 4),
  • Building on the territory of the former Lviv Ceramic Sculpture Factory (Muchna, 32),
  • Central City Children's Library (Okunevskogo, 3).

During the inventory and discussion of the current list of mosaic works, the status of several mosaics was clarified:

– items with imitation mosaics were removed (Kopernika, 3, Ruska, 7, Stetska, 4),

– items of small architectural forms: Horodotska, 83-85, Zubryvska, 1-36;

– items that have become museum exhibits or are missing: Storozhenka, 32, Muchna, 22;

– items that have lost relevance: Bohomoltsia, 2, Hrabovskogo, 3, Armenian, 23.

Additionally, in the updated list, several monuments were combined under a single address: Armenian, 7-9 and Yaroslavenka, 24, as well as items from Pekarska, 75, Petrushevicha, 2, and Navrotsky, 25.

At the meeting on December 23, the Executive Committee of the Lviv City Council approved the list of mosaics and ceramic works in Lviv. The complete list can be viewed here.
