The Ministry of Justice has resumed the operation of its website following a cyberattack by the Russian Federation, which resulted in the suspension of all registries managed by the agency.

The first publication on the ministry's site appeared on January 8. Prior to this, the website had not been updated since the evening of December 18.

On December 19, 2024, the Ministry of Justice announced the largest recent cyberattack on state registries, leading to the decision to suspend their operation to avoid further threats. According to Minister Stefanishyna, this cyberattack had been in preparation for at least several months.

The attack was claimed by a group of Russian hackers known as XakNet Team. According to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), they are linked to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The first registries resumed operations on December 30, followed by the State Register of Civil Status Acts (DRACS). This allowed for the launch of four services in Diia.
