The Minister of National Unity, Oleksiy Chernyshov, announced Ukraine's readiness to offer jobs at defense enterprises with mobilization exemptions for conscripts currently abroad. The minister shared this information in a comment for "Radio Liberty" on Wednesday, January 8.
According to Oleksiy Chernyshov, there is currently a shortage of personnel in Ukraine's defense enterprises. To address this issue, the country is ready to provide jobs to Ukrainians who are currently abroad and exempt them from mobilization.
"Today, Ukraine, and certain industries, need specialists like air. This includes the defense sector, the military-industrial complex, and other fields. We have a shortage of professionals, we have a shortage of specialists, and most of them Ukraine is ready to exempt from military service,” stated Oleksiy Chernyshov.
For this purpose, centers will be established in Ukraine and other countries where Ukrainians are currently located, offering such vacancies and encouraging them to choose a professional path in Ukraine.
"I am confident that Ukrainian men desire this; they want to contribute. If they are not ready to continue their path in the military direction, they can present themselves as specialists – and there is a specific mechanism for that, which just needs to be utilized,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov.
At the same time, the Minister of Unity noted that "men primarily need to defend Ukraine at this moment."
Recall that on December 23, 2024, Oleksiy Chernyshov stated that 50% of conscript-age Ukrainians are ready to return to Ukraine by the end of the war. According to the minister, for this to happen, Ukraine must "resolve the issue of exemptions."
