Currently, there are no obstacles to the timely supply of various weaponry and military equipment to the front lines.
This was stated by the head of the Main Department of Defense Procurement Control, Serhii Bulavko, during a briefing, as reported by Ukrinform.
According to Bulavko, more than half of the contracted weapons and military equipment from last year will be delivered in 2025. "In percentage terms, the financial resources allocated to the agency (Defense Procurement Agency – ed.) for the transitional contracts from 2024 to 2025 show that 55% of this weaponry and military equipment, contracted in 2024, will be supplied in 2025. The financial resources planned for 2025 will be used for this," he said.
The Ministry of Defense has created all the necessary conditions "so that the first quarter of 2025, regardless of any storms, does not affect the quality of support for the Security and Defense Forces," stated First Deputy Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk.
Also, during the briefing, Deputy Minister of Defense Havryliuk stated that the Defense Procurement Agency was acting as a special exporter, whereas it should have been entering into direct contracts with manufacturers.
