During customs control in Rava-Ruska, undeclared currency was discovered with a 34-year-old man. The money has been seized pending a court decision.
According to the Lviv Customs, on November 28 at 23:43, at the "Rava-Ruska – Hrebenne" border crossing, customs officers discovered undeclared cash among the personal belongings of the driver during an inspection of a Mercedes Sprinter vehicle heading out of Ukraine.
“The driver, a 34-year-old resident of Lviv region, was found to have 9,000 euros, 36,990 Polish zlotys, and 2,194 US dollars. This amount exceeded the permitted limit (equivalent to 10,000 euros) that can be taken out of Ukraine without declaration,” – the report states.
For violating customs regulations, 9,000 euros were temporarily seized from the man. A protocol has been drawn up regarding the incident under part 1 of Article 471 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
