A resident of Lviv region was prosecuted for unlawfully wearing military uniform.

The man is a civilian and was not authorized to wear the Armed Forces uniform.

The Zolochiv District Court in the Lviv region found a local resident guilty of unlawfully wearing the military uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a civilian, the man was not authorized to wear the uniform. The court imposed a penalty of 2550 UAH in fines.

According to the ruling published in the court register, on January 3, 2025, Nazarii Lisovskyi was walking along Shevchenko Street in the city of Zolochiv, Lviv region, wearing a military uniform with identifying insignia of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During a document check, it was revealed that the man was a civilian and had unlawfully donned the military uniform. A protocol was drawn up against him for an administrative offense under part 1 of Article 186-8 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. During the court hearing, the man admitted his guilt.

This case was presided over by Judge Maria Bakayim, who reviewed all the materials. She found the man guilty of the administrative offense, imposing a penalty of 2550 UAH in fines, along with a payment of 605 UAH in court fees and the confiscation of the military uniform. The ruling can still be appealed.
