The Halytskyi District Court found Aliona Nikanovych and Alina Spodynska from Khmelnytskyi guilty of pimping but released them from punishment by imposing a two-year probationary period. The verdict states that until March 28, 2024, the defendants were engaged in pimping activities in Lviv. They shared half of their illegally obtained profits with three prostitutes, while the rest was divided between themselves.
According to the case materials, Aliona Nikanovych and Alina Spodynska posted offers for paid intimate services on websites and Telegram, providing contact information and attaching photos of the girls. One hour of service cost 3500 UAH, while half an hour was priced at 2500 UAH. Together, they organized meetings between prostitutes and clients in specially rented apartments.
During the court session, Nikanovych and Spodynska admitted their guilt and explained that they committed the crime due to difficult life circumstances. One of the women also requested leniency, citing that she is raising two minor daughters.
Judge Olha Krotova found Aliona Nikanovych and Alina Spodynska guilty of pimping (part 2 of article 303 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) but released them from punishment, assigning a two-year probationary period. Additionally, the defendants are required to pay over 13,000 UAH for court expert examinations.
According to the court's decision, the women must periodically report to the authorized body for registration and notify them of any changes to their residence and employment. The verdict can be appealed in the appellate court.
