Lviv has joined the "Zbroienostsi" fundraising initiative by the "Povernys Zhyvym" foundation, contributing 101.2 million UAH. With these funds, it was possible to purchase 40 vehicles, 40 electronic warfare systems, 100 Mavic 3 drones, and 168 Mavic 3T drones. The press service of the Lviv City Council announced on Friday, January 24, that the acquired equipment will be delivered to support four combat brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“This is truly a good precedent for cooperation between the community of Lviv, the Lviv City Council, and 'Povernys Zhyvym,' where pickups, drones, electronic warfare systems, and heavy weaponry—areas in which the foundation excels—are being provided to support four brigades. The city cannot purchase heavy weaponry due to legal restrictions, but it can help with non-military contributions such as jeeps, drones, and electronic warfare systems,” said Andriy Moskalenko, the first deputy mayor of Lviv.

Lviv volunteer Sofia Dutschak, whose father served in the 103rd brigade, participated in the fundraising and managed to gather over 1.1 million UAH within two weeks through her own efforts. She shared that she regularly donates to "Povernys Zhyvym."
“My father, Taras Dutschak, was a volunteer. During that time, I tried to support him and his comrades. Recently, we managed to raise a million, and a month ago, just before the anniversary of my father's death, my sister Yana and I raised half a million in just two days. A month before that was my birthday, and I managed to collect 300,000 in one day. This is a constant, relentless effort that I truly hope is beneficial. I really hope my dad sees me and is proud of me,” Sofia Dutschak shared.
It should be noted that the acquired equipment and weapons will be delivered to the needs of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel, the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Galician Brigade, the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush, and the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Transcarpathian Brigade.
Senior Lieutenant Hrytsyshyn, with the call sign "Cerber," from the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush, stated that the equipment and weapons provided through the fundraising are essential during active combat operations.
“Pickups are crucial for logistics, allowing for the transportation of supplies, ammunition, and personnel. Grenade launchers are frontline weapons that prevent enemy infantry from reaching our trenches. Drones serve as surveillance and strike tools, enabling drops and the destruction of enemy equipment and infantry. Electronic warfare systems protect our soldiers from enemy drones. All this equipment will help us perform our tasks more effectively and safeguard the lives of our servicemen,” the military officer said.
Additionally, "Zbroienostsi" is a joint fundraising effort by Lviv and "Povernys Zhyvym." The foundation, with the support of businesses, communities, and donations from all Ukrainians, has also raised 60 million UAH. The overall goal of the fundraising is 200 million UAH.
