The Verkhovna Rada has adopted the law regarding compensation for destroyed property in temporarily occupied territories. A total of 292 deputies voted "in favor."

The bill is aimed at simplifying the process of obtaining compensation for destroyed or damaged housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have relocated from areas where active hostilities are taking place or that are temporarily occupied.
The document includes the following changes:
“This will facilitate the adaptation of IDPs in new communities and improve their living conditions, providing them with the opportunity to receive assistance for housing restoration more quickly,” Honcharenko noted.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the Verkhovna Rada adopted bill No. 11028, which grants priority rights to certain categories of IDPs for receiving compensation for destroyed real estate. A total of 288 deputies voted "in favor."
