Japanese automakers Nissan Motor and Honda Motor have signed a memorandum of understanding to initiate business integration through the establishment of a holding company.
According to a joint statement from the automakers.
“Both Nissan and Honda will operate as wholly-owned subsidiaries of the joint holding company. Additionally, the companies plan to continue coexisting and developing the brands owned by Honda and Nissan equally,” the document states.
It is noted that the holding company’s shares will be listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
According to reports, the final agreement for business integration is scheduled for June 2025, with the transfer of shares set to take effect in August 2026.
