Croatian midfielder Bartol Franjić will no longer play for "Shakhtar," reports the official website of the "miners". The 24-year-old player, whose rights belong to the German club "Wolfsburg," has transferred to Zagreb's "Dinamo." The agreement is set to last until the summer of 2025, and the transfer was made on loan.
Interestingly, the contract with "Shakhtar" was signed until the end of the 2024/25 season, and the departure of the foreign player came as a real surprise – earlier, the media had not reported on the early termination of his collaboration with the Donetsk team.
It is worth noting that Franjić is a product of Zagreb's "Dinamo," where he began his professional career. In July 2022, he moved to "Wolfsburg." He went on loan to "Darmstadt" and "Shakhtar." While with the "miners," Bartol played 8 matches across all competitions, scoring 1 goal. Transfermarkt values him at €1.8 million.
Additionally, on December 29, the coach of "Dinamo" Zagreb was appointed former Ballon d'Or winner Fabio Cannavaro from 2006 – he is now the third manager of the Zagreb team this season.
