From December 30 to January 1, 2025, specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense (HUR) conducted a cyberattack on the resources of the oil company "Lukoil," which is involved in supporting Russian military operations.
An informed source in the intelligence community shared this with "Ukrinform."
As a result of the cyberattack, the company's digital resources were compromised. Consequently, Lukoil's customers were unable to make payments at gas stations using the mobile application. Digital resources of the "Evotor" smart terminals and the unified system for digital product labeling "Honest Sign" were also targeted.
This DDoS attack caused significant inconveniences and losses in the trade sector, as consumers were unable to purchase goods due to disruptions in payment systems.
