In 2024, the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleg Druzy, who is suspected of illegally enriching himself by over $1 million, made two trips to Turkey in an attempt to purchase a three-story villa with a pool for €650,000. This information was reported by Ukrainian media, including “Radio Liberty,” citing sources within law enforcement agencies.

According to sources, Chief Psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleg Druzy, may have been planning the acquisition of a villa in Turkey. He traveled to the country twice in 2024 for this purpose. During his trips, he communicated with a realtor who offered various options for elite housing.

Additionally, Druzy purchased a hybrid Toyota car for his adopted daughter.

Moreover, a source from law enforcement informed journalists that Druzy's current wife is Russian, but she has already obtained Ukrainian citizenship. Her son lives in Kyiv but still holds a Russian passport.

The Case of Oleg Druzy: What We Know

It is worth recalling that on January 21, the SBU detained the head of the psychiatric clinic at the National Military Medical Clinical Center “Main Military Clinical Hospital” – Chief Psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleg Druzy on suspicion of illegal enrichment exceeding one million dollars.

According to the investigation, from 2022 to 2024, Druzy purchased a private house in the Kyiv region, three apartments, two plots of land, and four BMW cars. Law enforcement discovered approximately 8 million UAH in cash in various currencies in his possession. These earnings significantly exceed his legal income.

The official was notified of suspicion regarding illegal enrichment and the declaration of false information. He faces up to 10 years in prison.

During the court session on January 22, it also became known that Chief Psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleg Druzy, who is also the deputy head of the Central Military Medical Commission, received 3 million UAH for four years of work.

On the same day, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv selected a preventive measure for Druzy. He will be held in custody for two months with the possibility of posting a 49 million UAH bail.
