The official website of the Ukrainian Premier League announced that the best football player of the Ukrainian championship in 2024 is Georgiy Sudakov ( Shakhtar Donetsk).
The midfielder has received this award for the second consecutive year.
The UPL, in collaboration with Zbirna, conducted a voting among players from the teams in the Ukrainian football championship.
Players from four teams did not vote for Sudakov as their first choice: Dynamo's Mykola Shaparenko, Polissya's Oleksiy Hutsulyak, Chornomorets' Oleksiy Hutsulyak, and Zorya's Pylyp Budkivskyi.
In total, 92 respondents placed Sudakov in the first position (each selected their top three), while 43 gave him second place and 17 awarded him third. In total, he accumulated 379 points.
The second and third places were taken by players from Zhytomyr's Polissya: Oleksiy Hutsulyak and Oleksandr Nazarenko, with 187 and 112 points respectively.
The next three positions were claimed by players from Kyiv's Dynamo: Mykola Shaparenko (99), Vladyslav Vanat (93), and Volodymyr Brazhko (91).
Background. The first part of the current season was completed confidently by Kyiv's Dynamo, leading the standings and ahead of Shakhtar by ten points.
