Fragments of a Soviet monument in Rivne were sold at auction for over 63,000 UAH.

With the funds received, the city council will purchase drones for the military.

In Rivne, remnants of the dismantled monument to soldiers, partisans, and underground fighters were sold at auction. The sole participant and winner of the bidding was the local limited liability company "RMet," which offered 63,550 UAH for the object. The funds raised will be directed by the city council towards the purchase of drones.

Fragments of the aluminum monument to soldiers, partisans, and underground fighters were put up for auction on November 19. The monument was damaged during its dismantling from Victory Square in June 2022, which is why it was sold in separate parts. The total weight of the scrap metal amounted to 1.5 tons.

The auction took place on December 27 on the electronic trading platform Prozorro.Продажі, with only one participant – LLC "RMet." The starting price for the object was 60,000 UAH, and the winner offered 3,550 UAH more.

Additionally, according to YouСontrol, LLC "RMet" was registered in January 2023 in Rivne and specializes in the wholesale trade of waste and scrap. Mykola Shelyuk is the authorized representative of the company.
