The world-renowned German label ARS Produktion has released a recording featuring the soloist of the Lviv National Philharmonic, Violina Petrychenko, along with the Academic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Volodymyr Syvohip.

The musicians consider their mission to be the revival of scores by Ukrainian composers from past centuries. With a history spanning over 120 years, the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Lviv National Philharmonic is one of the oldest Ukrainian orchestras, having premiered works by Ukrainian artists multiple times and is well-known for promoting their music worldwide. Renowned conductors and composers such as Richard Strauss, Gustav Mahler, Ruggero Leoncavallo, Mieczysław Karłowicz, Lorenzo Perosi, Maurice Ravel, Béla Bartók, and Karol Szymanowski have conducted the orchestra.

The conductor and musicologist Volodymyr Syvohip, who has led premieres of works by Zbigniew Bujarski, Arvo Pärt, Myroslav Skoryk, Hanna Havrylets, Volodymyr Runchak, Victoria Polyova, Bohdana Frolyak, and others, is well aware of the significance of performing these scores. Special recognition goes to pianist and advocate of Ukrainian music Violina Petrychenko, who has participated in recordings of works by Mykola Lysenko, Viktor Kozhenkov, Yakiv Stepovyi, Vasyl Barvinsky, and Lev Revutskyi. The musicians have now presented a recording of two piano concertos with orchestra by Vasyl Barvinsky and Viktor Kozhenkov.
