In the first 11 months of 2024, banks undergoing liquidation by the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Individuals have paid creditors nearly 2.1 billion UAH.
This was reported by the press service of the FGWFO.
Over 1.1 billion UAH was paid to third-tier creditors, which covers the Fund's expenses for guaranteed compensation to depositors. 582 million UAH was reimbursed to seventh-tier creditors – businesses.
To satisfy the claims of ninth-tier creditors – individuals, private entrepreneurs, and legal entities that are related parties of the bank – 191.6 million UAH was paid. In compliance with the requirements of the National Bank, fifth-tier creditors received 20.5 million UAH.
The remaining funds were disbursed to second-tier and other creditors.
Over its 25 years of operation, the FGWFO has ensured the payment of 70.8 billion UAH to depositors of banks in liquidation. The National Bank received 16.4 billion UAH, including from the enforcement of collateral and guarantors' property.
The satisfaction of creditors' claims from banks being liquidated by the Fund occurs as a result of the sale and management of these banks' assets. This includes repayments on loans, income from securities, property rentals, and other sources.
