Gary Oldman expresses his desire to portray Dumbledore in a Harry Potter series.

Gary Oldman has stated that he would not mind playing Dumbledore in the upcoming Harry Potter series. The actor appeared in the films based on J.K. Rowling's books, notably in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," where he portrayed Harry's godfather, Sirius Black.

However, Oldman emphasized that he has not been invited to participate in the series.

“I can bet my money that they will choose entirely new actors. Maybe in a few years I could play Dumbledore,” – quotes the actor from People.

It is worth noting that Sirius was one of the main characters in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" (2004), who was unjustly sentenced for the murder of Harry's parents. He died in the fifth film, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" (2007), at the hands of Bellatrix Lestrange. Oldman believes that his character had too little screen time.
