The Drohobych City Council on Tuesday, January 7, sold a land plot of 80 m2 at auction through the Prozorro.Sales system. The site is located on Chornovola Street, near the city center and the bus station.
The starting price for the land, designated for the construction and maintenance of trade buildings, was 213 thousand UAH. Two participants competed for the lot – Ihor Voloshyn and Roman Mul. The former offered 234 thousand UAH for the land, while the latter bid 801 thousand UAH. Thus, the price of the land increased by 3.7 times during the auction, reaching 10 thousand UAH per square meter.
In comparison, in October 2024, the Drohobych City Council sold a land plot on Boryslavska Street, measuring 39 m2 with the same purpose, for 101 thousand UAH. However, this plot is located further from the city center.
Roman Mul is a local entrepreneur and a member of the previous convocation of the Drohobych City Council. He owns bus station No. 2, the "Romashka" supermarket chain, and a bakery. Recently, Roman Mul attempted to purchase land for hotel construction in Skhidnytsia, but during the auction, he was outbid by 100 UAH by Nazar Pilyak, the son of the village head of Skhidnytsia.
