Ukrainian biathlete Dmytro Pidruchny finished in 5th place in the sprint at the World Cup stage in Antholz. A total of 103 biathletes participated, including four Ukrainians, with Pidruchny achieving the best result despite one error in the standing shooting.

The first place was taken by Norwegian Tarjei Boe, who had a clean shooting performance. Second place went to Norwegian Sturla Laegreid, who had one miss but finished just 4 seconds behind his compatriot Boe. Italian Tommaso Giacomel (+2.6) and another Norwegian athlete, Martin Uldal (+20.5), secured third and fourth places, respectively.

Ukrainian Dmytro Pidruchny finished in 5th place, achieving the best result (+22.0) among his fellow countrymen, with one miss in the standing shooting.

Three other Ukrainians also competed in the race. Anton Dudchenko finished 17th, Vitaliy Mandzyn came in 61st, and Taras Lesyuk placed 68th.

Dmytro Pidruchny is a 33-year-old biathlete from Ternopil region. He is the captain of the Ukrainian men's biathlon team. In 2019, after finishing 4th in the sprint, he won gold in the pursuit race, becoming the first biathlon world champion in Ukraine's history.

He has also finished fourth in mass starts at World Cup stages twice – in 2016 in Ruhpolding and in 2020 in Nove Mesto. In the sprint at the 2025-2026 World Cup stage in Oberhof, Dmytro Pidruchny finished in 4th place.
