The state will reimburse 15% of the purchase price for buses and electric buses from the Lviv-based company "Electron" under the "Made in Ukraine" program, also known as "Industrial Cashback." Private companies can also acquire urban passenger transport with this compensation. The consortium reported this on Facebook.
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has included city passenger buses and electric buses, particularly from the Lviv-based company "Electron," in the list of domestic equipment and machinery, for which buyers can receive a 15% compensation from the price (excluding VAT).
"It is important that this compensatory mechanism extends to private business entities. Thus, private legal entities operating in Ukrainian cities in the field of passenger transport now have the opportunity to take advantage of this option to update their existing fleet or restore the rolling stock lost during the war and receive partial compensation for the cost of the equipment," the message from the "Electron" consortium states.
To receive a 15% compensation on the price of buses or electric buses, the enterprise must choose a supplier from the list on the Ministry of Economy's website and submit an application along with supporting documents to an authorized bank.
The "Industrial Cashback" program includes Ukrainian manufacturers with a localization of production of at least 40%. Under this program, equipment and machinery for agricultural production, energy equipment, construction, municipal, and specialized machinery can be purchased. More information about the program and compensation amounts can be found on the website of the "Made in Ukraine" program.
