After reports emerged that law enforcement is investigating new episodes of state treason involving Petro Poroshenko, "5 Kanal" removed a video that indicates the business of the people's deputy operated in occupied Crimea and paid taxes to the Russian budget.
In the video, Konstantin Kartoshkin – the manager of Poroshenko's "Sevmorzavod" – claimed that Sevastopol has an "uncertain and unclear status." He also discussed orders that the plant expected from the Russian Ministry of Defense, as the "enterprise was focused on exports." In his comments, Kartoshkin used the phrasing "in Ukraine."
The media has already located this video in the archives.
It turned out that after the annexation of Crimea, "Sevmorzavod" was in correspondence with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. In these communications, the plant and its manager Kartoshkin referred to Sevastopol as a "Russian city of federal significance," providing the Russian authorities with all financial and economic reports.
This is effectively one of the pieces of evidence of Poroshenko's collaboration with the Russian authorities, as they did not nationalize his plant for a long time, despite many other Ukrainian companies being nationalized immediately.
Later, Poroshenko appointed Kartoshkin as the head of one of the largest state military factories – "Zarya-Mashproekt."
In 2024, NABU and SAP concluded a pre-trial investigation concerning Kartoshkin and established that together with Poroshenko, they misappropriated funds from the Mykolaiv state enterprise "Zarya-Mashproekt" amounting to 1.4 billion UAH.
In addition to conducting business in Russia, Poroshenko is also suspected of trading with terrorists in ORDLO, supporting the UOC-MP, and the Kharkiv agreements that allowed the Russian Black Sea Fleet to remain in Ukrainian Crimea, as well as actions that benefited Russia.
